credit advantage scam
It’s a common misconception that credit and debit cards make you more vulnerable to fraud. In truth, the opposite is true. Credit cards can protect you from identity theft, while debit cards can protect you from fraud.
So why does credit card fraud (and it’s cousin the “charge card” fraud) get all the press? Because it’s easier to spot then the other two. In the U.S. credit card fraud is the fastest-growing crime, second only to identity theft, and its a huge financial risk. This is why credit card fraud is so hard to spot. Credit cards are processed, made out to the issuer, and then are printed and given to you.
Credit cards are more difficult to spot than debit cards because they are processed online. When you go to your bank to use your credit card, the transaction is made over the Internet, and the card numbers are entered into your computer as images. You see them, and you use them. This is a more secure system because you don’t have to print, scan, or enter the numbers into your computer.
Once you get your card, you use it all the time. The problem comes when you lose it. You go to your bank and you get a new card with a new number. The same system is used to process the old card. Unfortunately, you dont know the old number. So when you use the new card, you dont even know which card you used. The bank will then process the old card. By this time you have been using the same card for years.
So you really don’t get a new card unless you use the old one? How is this helpful? Well if you’ve been using your old card for years, it doesn’t mean that you are a victim of a credit fraud. If you lost your card, the credit bureau would just process your old card. So if you lost your card, all you have to do is ask your bank to process your old card.
This sounds like a scam to me. It’s pretty common for people to lose their credit cards and then try to get a new one in the same month. If you’re just trying to get a new card, why not just use your existing one? The only thing you would have to do is ask your bank to process your old card.
Yes, but that doesn’t help. If you lose your account, then your bank will just process your old card. That might not be a problem, but it is certainly a problem if you lose your bank account.
It seems like that scam is more about getting money. The only thing you have to do is ask your bank to process your old card.
Sure, you can request a new card online, but that is not really a very good option to ask your bank to process your existing card. You have to actually call your bank in order for them to process it. Most banks don’t take on new cards without some sort of notification that it is being processed.
The problem here is that when you ask your bank to process your account, they most likely will get busy with other urgent calls. They will most likely have someone there to help in a short amount of time and then you have to leave them a message. The last thing you want to do is leave them a message for them to call you back within a short amount of time. If they get busy, they will not be able to help you at all.
