If you want to get the most bang for your buck, making a purchase at a grocery store or at a gas station is the best way to go. If you buy items you know have a very high price tag attached to them, though, you’ll end up paying even more.
The good thing about this is that you don’t even have to think about it. It’s not as if you have to go to the store in order to make the purchase, it’s just a matter of having a receipt or whatever and getting paid. As long as you have the cash, it’s all good.
This is one of those situations where the consumer has to think about it too. If you had to think about not buying a gallon of milk, how much milk would you buy from the same price? Or if you had to think about getting a car loan, how much would you pay? We all know how much we spend on things, but we usually don’t think about it.
I know the right answer to this question could be, “How much would you spend on a gallon of milk?” but that sort of depends on the definition of a gallon of milk. I really like the thought of paying more for a gallon of milk because I love milk and I think it helps me stay hydrated, but it’s only really a good answer if you mean a gallon of milk is a gallon of milk (i.e. 16 oz).
